Dear Friends of Omega,
It is with sadness that I write to you today. We’ve all heard of the atrocity that took place in Parkland Wednesday, just down the road from our main office. Helicopters overhead and national attention drawn toward “Florida’s safest city,” our hearts break with the victims and their families.
There is no better time than now to spread love and goodwill.
It was an honor to speak last week to the South Florida Claims Association at Super Restoration about Omega Cares. So many people came up to speak with me afterward and affirm your commitment to giving back to our community and serving others.
With Omega Cares, we will be planning a number of ways this year for us to band together and do some good in the world, but we can’t do it alone.
To this end, please email me and let me know if you or your company are interested in participating in one or more of these events this year. We won’t spam you, we won’t sell your information, none of that. We just need to know who is interested in partnering with us in the community. SFCA will create a page on their website for this initiative, and any company partnering with us will be featured on the page.
In the meantime, there are some things that can be done for the victims of this South Florida tragedy.
1. Give Blood
While the immediate blood needs of the survivors of the shooting have been met, the blood banks are in need of replenishment.
There are many locations where blood can be donated. This Monday, we are encouraging our staff to donate at the One Blood bus that will be parked in front of Lissaur & Eriks Dental in Boynton Beach from 10 to 4.
2. Donate to the Victims’ Fund
A fund has been set up by the Broward Educational Foundation on GoFundMe, and we have already made a donation there. Consider donating something, even $5.
Thanks for your time. Hug your loved ones and say a prayer.
All the best,
Director of Product Development
